adidas Women FitnessX Event

FitnessX - A fitness experience for women that does more than burn calories.

It's always a very nice surprised getting an email invite to an adidas event, especially a FitnessX event because I know it'll be a great time with amazing/inspiring women. This one, however, had me most excited for because it was in my hometown of Culver City! (Literally less than 5 minutes away!)

A day before the event, I received an outfit over the mail that consisted of a tank, sports bra and leggings. Being the sneaker lover that I am, as soon as I received it, I knew what sneakers would match perfectly with the outfit, my Black/Grey Ultra Boost (also gifted by adidas running a couple months back).

Saturday morning started off with a dynamic full body workout led by personal trainer and fitness blogger Jenn Glysson. The workout consisted of various body movements, booty workouts, and (my most dreaded) burpees. I always focus more on running, especially right now that I am training for my half marathon next month, and I am not that good at keeping up with cross training, so this was definitely a workout that had me sore the next day! I have also been experiencing some knee/leg pain, so the burpees definitely triggered that pain back up. I wanted to complete the workout, but ended up having to sit out some of it because of the pain I was experiencing.

Following the workout, HUM Nutrition taught us how to create our own lip and hand scrub and we also discovered our personal expression through color with Resident Astrologer, Rose Theodora/Enamel Diction. Although half of the things that she told me about myself didn't really apply to me, it was still fun getting to hear all about color astrology.

To conclude the event, Heirloom LA provided some of their local, organic small bites while we browsed the adidas apparel line.

It was so great getting to see so many familiar faces and catching up with one another. I can also always count on meeting new people at every adidas event I attend.

Thank you so much to my adidas women family for the invite to another successful event!
