Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit

As a sneaker enthusiast and Flyknit lover, I always dreamt of an Air Max silhouette getting the Flyknit treatment. With several silhouettes being revamped in Flyknit, it was only a matter of time before Nike dropped these beauties. My personal Air Max favorites are the 90s, but 1s are runner ups, so these were a must cop for me.

When Nike claims this Air Max to be "the lightest 1", they aren't kidding. They're super lightweight and also remind me a lot of the Air Max Zero. They feature an open Flyknit construction in the toe box and on the tongue for breathability and a closed construction in the heel area to provide added support. The no-sew rand right above the midsole, ties back to the original AM 1 designed by Tinker Hatfield. The Ultra sole, which is way more lightweight and flexible than the original, provides increased cushioning for all-day comfort. The iconic air bubble in the sole is still present, thus still keeping the original AM1 look.

Overall, I think Nike did a great job on these. I'm very happy with the way this silhouette was revamped with Flyknit. Both, construction and comfort, are great on these. The only thing I would change are the laces. They're a tad bit too long causing them to hang down too low. That's an easy fix though because you can always swap them out for shorter ones. I will definitely be adding the White/Red colorway to my collection as well!

Along with the sneakers, I also received a Nike tote bag and a Nike Sportswear x Smashbox Cosmetics liquid lipstick in the color "Chill Zone", inspired by the Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit.

Big thank you to Nike Sportswear, Blends Beverly Hills and Chris for adding these cozy kicks to my rotation.
