Nike LunarEpic Flyknit

I had the opportunity to test run the Nike LunarEpic Flyknits with an "epic" 3 mile run in Santa Monica, Calif. with NRC. The run was led by Coach Sally McRae and NikeLA Pacers. It was nice to see familiar NRC faces and also meet those who I only knew through social media.

The launch event for the sneaker took place at the LunarEpic LaunchPad located right across from the Nike Santa Monica location. Each person had their own LunarEpic Flyknit to test run in and they were displayed in little cubbies with our names. It was like attending a NRC home run event where we would run with our pace group and loop around to end up back at the starting point.

Now for my thoughts on the sneaker. Visually, I like the shoe way more on than sitting on a shelf. It is super lightweight. At first, I wasn't too sure how I felt about it because of the sock like ankle part, but that actually ended up being my favorite part of this shoe. It feels very comfy with snug support on the ankle area. Personally, I would use these for shorter distance running rather than for longer runs and for normal everyday wear. For longer runs, I need more support and stability like the Zoom Pegasus 32. The snug (but comfortable) fit reminds me alot of the flyknit racers, and if you know me, you know I love me some racers. They fit true to size (I usually wear either 8 or 8.5 and I went with 8.5 on these).

The LunarEpic Flyknits are now available for both men and women HERE for $175.
