By definition, "Unlimited" means: being or seeming to be without limits. Its synonyms include: boundless, indefinite, unfathomable, infinite...At Nike "Unlimited" also means endless possibility, when it comes to its athletes and when it comes to its designs. In turn, each pushes the other past perceived boundaries towards a sub-two-hour marathon or a first marathon, a world record or a personal best. Unlimited means never defining oneself by what came before. It means defying expectations, even one's own. Unlimited declares that there is no "happily ever after" and there's no "too far." There's only "What's next?" - Nike
Nike’s “Unlimited Campaign” rolled out for the 2016 Rio Olympics that hails both, the everyday athletes and the champion athletes, who push their limits daily. Along with the launch of their new Nike + App, which literally has EVERYTHING Nike in one place, they also held Unlimited events all around the world including Los Angeles, that encouraged everyday athletes to push their limits.
I was able to attend a few of the Unlimited Los Angeles events such as NRC track runs, NRC x Ciclavia 5K run, BlacklistLA x NRC Monday night run, where we visited an art installment of Allyson Felix by the talented Hueman , and the last run club at Niketown Los Angeles, that is closing its doors after 20 years in Beverly Hills. I attended my very first Nike Run Club at this location last August, so it's really sad to say goodbye. I've had some of my hardest and best runs through the streets of Beverly Hills, but like Coach Blue Benadum said, "every ending is a new beginning".
I'm happy to be a part of such a fun and motivating running community. Without them, I wouldn't be where I am today.
I literally almost cried when Nike Running reached out to me through Twitter to send me a care package that would help me with my first Half Marathon training. Nike has been my favorite go to sneaker brand since the beginning of my sneaker addiction in the early 2000s. For a very long time, all I owned was Nike sneakers and til' this day, more than half of the sneakers in my collection are Nike.
Thank you Nike for caring and giving back to your biggest supporters. Truly means so much to me.
