There's no better feeling than giving back to the community, especially seeing the smiles on kids faces.
I was invited by adidas to join in on their Power of Sport Day where 700 adidas employees were a part of a massive, coordinated series of volunteer projects around the Los Angeles area. This effort was the largest of its kind in adidas history. All of the selected projects directly aligned with the adidas social purpose mission of removing barriers to sport for kids and impacted thousands of underserved youth in the LA area.
Out of the 7 schools, I selected Eastman Avenue Elementary School in East LA with 864 students all from Pre-K through 5th grade. 100 adidas employee volunteers, team members from Good Sports and adidas Ambassadors/Influencers joined forces to "pick, pack, and play". While some of the volunteers packed up sport kits that included a sackpack, hat, water bottle, soccer ball, shirt, shorts, socks and sneakers, the kids participated in 10 different sport stations led by volunteers.
Thank you adidas for this opportunity to give back to the community!
